:’)

It was a normal morning.
A Sunday morning. Waking up late, doing what we do everytime.
But something happened then. Something we won’t forget.

But you wouldn’t want us to remember that day. You’d want us to forget. And for you I will try.
The sorrow, the pain. It’s in the past now. You’d want us to be happy. And that is what we’ll do.
We’ll laugh, we’ll celebrate, we’ll dance. It doesn’t mean we don’t miss you. It means we still feel your presence with us. We always will.

You did all you could for us. Just to put smiles on our faces. The smiles which still haven’t faded away. But now you’re not here. I won’t ask why you had to leave. But I just wished you’d stayed with us longer. But I think God just wanted your incredible presence with him. I think god was jealous of us, he wanted this awesome individual to be with him now. 🙂

Tomorrow is a special day.
It’s your birthday. And we won’t be sad about it. We’ll smile, and laugh, like all of your birthdays till date. We’ll celebrate, not mourn. We’ll be happy. Not because you left, but because you were born this day. This amazing day.
2nd of December 🙂

Happy Birthday Nanu :’)

Deep inside.

I may not say much.
I may ignore it.
But, don’t think that I don’t care.

I may just stand there,
In the corner.
Not knowing what to do or say.

So, I just smile.
And hope its contagious.
Spread happiness as I do.

I see the concern,
In my mother’s eyes.
And my sister’s behaviour too.

I ask, looking at the picture.
Just hanging there on the wall.
“What are you doing, oh Lord?”

And why are you doing it?
But, I know, He’ll make everything better.
He’s my friend, He’s my God.

Alone at home.
I keep myself busy,
Doing something or the other.

All I want,
Is for all the smiles to return.
One happy ending, followed by another. 🙂

Music of life.

Music is what life sounds like. -Eric Olsen

Life without music is no life at all.
And it doesn’t mean you have to be a singer or play an instrument, to understand music. You just need to listen to your soul.
You may be the worst singer in the world, but if you have music in your heart, you cannot be an unhappy person.
As someone said ‘He who sings scares away his woes.’ 🙂

No music, No life. Know music, know life. 🙂

Music is what feelings sound like.
It feeds happiness to the soul.
Ask yourselves, how do we celebrate our happiness? We sing, we dance, we clap, we cheer, we laugh.
If this isn’t music then what is?
Music is not just the technical stuff, the chords, the compositions.
It isn’t about how many singers you know, or how many genres you listen to.
Play the music, not the instrument.  ~Author Unknown

Silence, when everything is quite.
When you don’t speak, You don’t express.
When nothing is certain, nothing is heard
But even silence has it’s own music. A music which is louder than words. 🙂
Silence is more musical than any song.  ~Christina Rossetti

If we think about it, we started singing even before we could talk.
We could feel the music in our hearts as infants, so why can’t we now?
That’s the problem about growing up, losing our rhythm.
The worries of everyday life, they force us to forget.
When music is the only thing that keeps us going, we choose to ignore it.
We complain, we stress, but don’t realize what we’re keeping away.
Music enhances the ability to be happy.
Music is forever; music should grow and mature with you, following you right on up until you die.  ~Paul Simon

To be happy, to be cheerful, we need to keep our music alive.
Because not only does this make us happy, but helps us spread happiness.
It restores the skip in your walk and the twinkle in your eye 🙂
I don’t sing because I’m happy, I’m happy because I sing.  ~William James

As i end this post, i’d like to mention my friend Srishti Sood, who not only gave me the idea of writing this post, but also to listened me when my music was gone 😉
Keep your music alive. And then you’ll learn how to live 😀

“Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing
Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me” -Abba
